2901 W Cary St, Richmond, VA
Carytown is full of interesting and fun shops and restaurants, and on the eastern end sits a gorgeous organic restaurant with a large outdoor patio and a quaint indoor space. The menu was expansive and included a number of incredible pho options. The restaurant is Vietnamese inspired, which is delicious.
Since I went on a cool October evening, sitting outside did not seem like the move. I love the string lights that zig-zag the outdoor seating area, and the fact that it provides a great view for people watching in Carytown. Our drinks were so fresh and gorgeous, I hadn't had a blackberry mojito but now I would go on to recommend that to anyone. Our duck dish came with a perfect dipping sauce, topped with cranberries (a favorite). The staff was super friendly and gave us the superb drink recommendation.
I topped the meal off with an iced dirty chai latte which was so decadent and flavorful that it was the perfect substitute for dessert. It even came adorned with a fresh cinnamon stick which I appreciated. I love the coziness of Sen and the opportunity to eat and drink organic, and though their prices are a bit high, I know that the cost of organic goods is as well so it seems reasonably justified. Even if you just pop in on a warm day to enjoy a scrumptious drink outside, Sen is a worthwhile Carytown contender.
