2713 W Broad St, Richmond, VA
A new boy is in town, and we're seeing red. This snug yet cozy spot features mouthwatering cocktails, lunch, dinner, and "late nite" bites. The wine selection is nothing to sneer at either. It feels as though you're stepping into somewhere a bit more posh than Richmond, but with all the good locals still inside.
It was nearly impossible to settle on merely one drink to order, so we tried a bunch. The cheekily named OnlyFans martini, the Patio Crusher, Girl Scout Cookies, and Carajillo were a few. For one round I opted for an orange wine, or as an aficionado might say "skin-contact." For food we had to start off with the truffle fries, which were not only seasoned beautifully but just cooked to perfection on their own. We then decided on their jerk lamb lollipops and lobster tail corn dogs (with cornmeal tempura). The luxury!
The only "downside" is there is little room to really get around, but there is an air of exclusivity of being seated in a place so limited that some people (myself included) might eat right up. The jerk seasoning on the lamb was so addictive and flavorful, I found myself trying to gnaw off every last sliver of meat. The lobster tails posing as "corn dogs" are not only genius, they're downright insanely delicious. Before I do something embarrassing like call myself a "fangirl," I'll end it here... just go for yourself and see.
