Another year zoomed by, and here we are once again amid the craze that is the holiday season. I can't say I'm mad though, because I happen to love going to restaurants (and lounges) that are decked the F out. We're talking lights galore, pictures of children crying with Santa, and other trinkets and delights.
Shaky Cam has covered the well-known specialty drink phenomenon, the Jasper. Another specialty drink joint (with ties to the Jasper) sits across town in Church Hill, and it is known as the Emerald Lounge. In a corner building with high ceilings and semi-private outdoor seating, patrons can indulge in delicious and innovative drinks, and during December, the drinks are more fun than ever. Tiny present boxes and "floating" lights were hanging from nearly every inch of the space. Novelty glasses were used to serve drinks in exceptional style. Even if you aren't in the holiday spirit, you'll feel festive.
Pictured below is a corner seating area with lighting to die for. The green orbs and the blue illumination coming off of the fish tank created such an inviting and clearly cool aura. Seat covers in the style of Santa hats were on every seat at the bar. The attention to detail in the decor was so palpable, there was a lot of love put into creating this space for the season. All that to say, there is never a bad time of year to visit the Emerald Lounge, because there is never a bad time to try a beautifully crafted cocktail.
